Rec'd second notice in the mail re: subscribing to XM after the 3 month trial period. Monthly rate offered was for the most expensive package (Best of Sirius XM); there are other, less expensive, packages available. Also suggest NOT doing the automatic renewal. Had some unpleasant experience with Sirius using this.

Anyone get a good XM deal? BTW, Pandora works great.

The only station on XM I still listen to is traffic and weather lol... Its awesome to listen to it just before I go out so I can plan my route better. But other than that I only listen to 4 music stations which plays songs I already have but may have forgotten... (120 gb ipod classic, 70 gigs filled, ill be good for a while lol)

If you keep denying it they'll keep offering you better deals. On my 08, I got 5 months for 20, called to cancel and they offered it to me again. Better than the 17.95 or whatever price it is they want per month...

Pandora is awesome... You need an unlimited data plan for that without a doubt... I just wish i could type in the name of that song I wanna hear and have that song actually play lol... It happened once and only once in 2 years of using it lolol

XM and Sirius are the same company...

You can listen to many of the same stations across both systems now.
Yes I realize that, but 'Howard' only comes thru on Sirius as far as I know.
Besides, I've got a subscription to Sirius which expires next summer.

Looks like Howard is moving on too, so I'll be giving up Sat radio altogether anyway.

Thanks

I have a lifetime subscirption to Sirius and am a huge Howard Stern fan. In my previous cars, I installed the car kit myself, and I took the radio with me into the house. With XM installed already on the CT, it saved me the trouble of installing it again, and it's a much neater solution. Since the merger, XM and Sirius programming is identical, except for a handful of channels on each, which they dub "Best of."

Alas, while the programming is merged, the accounts aren't (yet), so when I called XM to ask if I could add my car unit as a second radio, they said no. I then asked if I could add the "Best of Sirius" to the free trial, and they said yes, and for only $10 for all three months! Of course I said yes, and now enjoy Howard in my Crosstour!

If he re-signs his contract, then I will keep the XM subscription going. If he doesn't, I will for sure drop the Best of Sirius and maybe the whole thing, depending on the deal I can get.

And, finally...Baba Booey to ya'll!

I have the Slacker Plus subscription ($48/yr) so I just run my cached stations through my Droid X in the car. With my customized stations, I can skip songs I don't want to hear then or ever.

I don't think I could ever go back to radio or XM because of not being able to skip. I think Slacker has a much wider playlist than XM and with the customizing, I really don't skip that much but it's sure a nice-to-have.

My three month subscription ends in two weeks. Received the second notice from XM. I called and asked for the 77 dollar special. Got it with no problem. Equals to 77 plus royalties plus tax. XM and the best of Sirius...

I opted for 3 month extension of music only for like $8.95/mo. I'm going to cancel and use Pandora most likely.

Hi,

Yesterday every channel on XM just offered a general preview. My first three months free trial had ended but I never got any renewal reminders from XM. Anyway, when I called and mentioned the $77/year offer, there was no problem in renewing at that rate.

I just installed the MusicDock app on my iPhone and can now get Sirius on my CT via the AUX input, so no XM for me after the trial! I have a lifetime Sirius subscription, so I'm set!
