XM Display (non-NAVI) only shows artist, not song and artist

When listening to XM and a new song plays, sometimes the song title will display for a couple seconds at the beginning of the song and other times it won’t. I am able to re-create the issue as follows (assume the TITLE button is already set to NAME so that artist is always shown on the display):

Option #1 -- Artist Name Displays only (no scrolling song title) at beginning of new song
Step 1 – Turn car on
Step 2 – Turn to any XM channel using the PRESETS or STEERING WHEEL controls ONLY.
Step 3 – Wait until new song plays on XM channel (any station). Note that only Name / Artist is Displayed, no song title.

Option 2 -- Artist Name and Song title scrolls for 2 seconds at beginning of new song
Step 1 – Turn car on (if already on then turn off, then on)
Step 2 – Turn to any XM channel using the SCROLL wheel or SKIP button not the preset buttons.
Step 3 – Wait until new song plays on XM. Now note that Name / Artist is displayed, followed briefly by the Song Title (maybe 2 seconds) before switching back to display the Name.

I would prefer to always have the song title flash / scroll briefly and then show the artist when new song plays (As Option 2 above does) since I control my stations through the presets, not the scrolling wheel or skip button but it seems every time I shut off my car and turn back on, the logic “RESETS” itself. In other words every time I start my car I have to perform the steps in OPTION 2 to see the song title displayed at beginning of new song. Is there a way to start my car and use either the presets on the radio or the steering wheel and still get the song title to display briefly without performing all the steps in Option 2

I would think that at least ONE of you out there has XM ? Have you noticed this phenomenon when using only your XM presets?
You can cycle through the name/title/category if you press they title button. I don't think there's a way you can have it scroll automatically though.
I know you can cycle it manually by pressing the Title button but I also found if you find a channel using the seek button or selector knob that when a song ends and a new one comes on it will scroll the artist then song title for a few seconds and then back to artist. It won't do it if you control stations through presets alone -- See Option 1 vs. Option 2 in my first post .. (at least that's been my experience).

wkndrdr are you able to try Option 1 vs Option 2 and let me know what you find?
I have noticed that occasionally the display shows the track name briefly before resorting back to the artist name.

I like this a lot but never made a correlation with how I was selecting the stations.

Although, I always use either the steering wheel controls or the presets to select the station, and I have still noticed that it occasionally displays like
"Option 2."

I'll try to keep closer attention from now on.

My radio behaves the same way. It only scrolls the name and title in the situations you described or when a new song starts.
