Okay Guys, What is your cleaning schedule for the crosstour? I pretty much kept with the below schedule on my 98 Accord and even after 11 years and 200k miles, still got complements on how new it looked.

My car is under the Texas sun all day every day at work. Garage kept at night.

Interior:

Weekly: (20-30 min)
Vacuuming
Wipe down interior with some sort of APC/interior detailer wipe
Door jams

Bi-Weekly: (30-45 min)
Weekly schedule plus:
Blow air all over the dash to flush out dust in a/c vents and nooks and crannies.
Leather conditioner/cleaner type wipes

Exterior:
I carry quik detailer for little presents left by birds or big bugs on front - never let that stuff sit on the paint.

Bi-Weekly: (1 hr)
Wash
Wash Wheels / Tires / Do a quick Tire dressing.
Wash windows
Do a real fast clean of the engine bay (nothing extravagant)

Monthly:

Bi-Weekly + (2 hrs)
Wax/Sealant - over the years i change what i like.
Good cleaning of engine area (not too much water)
Dress with interior type apc wipes of the door seals/rubber pieces.

Maybe 2 times a year I really get into it - always on a nice day with beer. Shampoo carpet, claybar the paint, do are really good job on the engine bay etc etc.

On the weekends when i do both the interior and exterior. I usually do the interior on sat mornings and exterior sun morning. My family sleeps in really late - so i am usually done and have gotten breakfast for everyone before they wake up.

It may seem like a lot - but you get pretty fast, and it doesn't take much to clean a relatively clean car - especially the interior.

Wow, that's an ambitious schedule, scott.....I wish I had the drive (and the youth:))......So far since buying a month ago, I've waxed the upper surfaces once, quick detailed about 3 times and done nothing inside but clean the inside of the windscreen.

Admittedly, I should vac this weekend and maybe think about leather care, and to remind me I'll post your sched on the fridge for inspiration.

it's really not that much work - admittedly i sometimes skip a week if busy. especially the outside wash - but i try to keep the inside really clean.

Currently I have Meguiar's Gold Class Rich Leather Wipes.

But I change all the time, i like to go into auto stores and try different stuff.

Wow, wanna come live at my house?

Kidding aside, you are proof that steady maintenance pays off. But, you truly are ambitious! My vehicles are in the garage. My wife is a flight attendant so one of them are airport a few days at a time. Usually, wash exterior every two weeks and do a wax job spring and fall, and that includes a good interior cleaning. Usually don't keep a car over 3-5 years but they are much cleaner and brighter than others in the neighborhood.

I do have a tendency to keep my car really clean. But with teenagers in the house and a business to run, its good to have at least one thing I can completely control.

My wife often asks how I can keep my car so clean, yet can't remember to pick up my shoes. :)
