I ran to Lowe's this evening and I noticed when I was hitting the lock button on the key that the actual key portion was incredibly warm. I can't imagine why since there should be nothing around there that produces any heat of any kind.

Am I the only one?

Not yet, too busy to call, but I may remember to do it tomorrow. It's the wife's car so it never dawns on me to remember to get anything taken care of

Any updates on this? mine is two months old but I've noticed it's almost too hot to touch. And there's a melted plastic smell. Am very curious!!!
That sounds serious, sdi, maybe giving the dealer a call on it now would be more prudent than waiting....
We wouldn't want anything untoward to happen.

First 200 miles, haven't noticed anything unusual. Car was sitting in 98 degree heat for an hour at one point. So outside influences don't seem to be a problem,
