my salesman was fairly new and told me that I needed something aftermarket for my ipod to be used in the vehicle? What do I need? A cable?

Also, not auto light sensor on this model? seems a little odd that a vehicle of this price range doesn't have such a basic amenity-my stripped down Armada had it and the price is nearly the same.

So far, like the vehicle a lot, but have forgotten to turn my headlights on a few times at night

Probably just the cable that came with your Ipod. There is a USB port that you can plug your I pod into.

I did not know there was a model without auto headlights!

I just plugged the USB cable that I usually plugged in the computer and it worked. It's pretty cool to see all the songs on the navigation system. The screen of the IPod shows the Honda "H" logo while its plugged.

Does the bluetooth work from the IPOD (I have an i-Phone), to the vehicle, so you don't need the cord, like on my wife's TSX?

Not sure for that.... You can use the handfreelink bluetooth to talk on your I Phone.. but to listen to your music inside you I Phone... I don't think so.
