I have discovered the source of one of my rattles on my 2011 Crosstour. Under where the spare time would be there appears to be a protective cover to protect the bottom of the car. Somehow the adjusting bolt or bracket got bent and the cover is loose. If anyone knows the name or part number let me know. Seems simple but I have not found the part yet searching on my own. Thanks for any help.

Hello, first of all, congratulations on your purchase. Second, how could you buy a car without checking it out or even knowing what year and model it is? Third, every car has VIN numbers under the glass and near the door on the counter. You don't have to go to the dealer. There are What Things You Need to Look Out for When Buying a Used Car items that will help you save money on the auto and with which you can check everything.

It's great that you were able to identify the source of the rattle in your 2011 Crosstour! Based on your description, it sounds like you are referring to the rear underbody shield that covers the underside of the vehicle. You can also search for parts on Honda's official parts website, which allows you to enter your vehicle's information and search for parts by category or keyword and also browse https://vinnumberlookup.com/. site for plate number search. Alternatively, you could try searching for the part on a third-party website that specializes in Honda parts. I hope this information helps and that you're able to get the necessary part and fix the issue with the loose underbody shield!
