Hello everyone,

I've had my Crosstour for almost two months now (and I love it, btw) and today, for the second time in the last two weeks, it wouldn't turn over the first time I put the key in the ignition and started it. The engine sputtered and spit for a second, before I stopped, counted to five, and tried again. Second time, it started up just fine.

The first time this happened, it was absolutely pouring down rain, and I just wrote it off as a fluke. Today, it's 80 degrees, sunny, my gas tank is 3/4 full and since I only have about 1,800 miles on the car, the oil life is still at 80% (according to the CT itself).

Any ideas what's going on? Has anyone else encountered this? I'm flummoxed that a brand new car would have an issue like this...

Thanks in advance for your input.

I'd pop the hood and look at the battery terminals or at least check to make sure the cables are tight. A little corrosion can cause a hit or miss kind of thing like that.
