rear lid?...

Is the only way to open the rear lid by using the button on the key. There isn't a switch inside the cockpit? You must turn off the car in order to open the rear lid?

The hatchback is just a door. If the passenger doors are unlocked, then you can open it whether the car is running or not. Same goes for the fuel door - if the driver's door is unlocked you can open the fuel door.

So I guess the answer to your question is that the Unlock button is the button in the cockpit.

Welcome to the forum, by the way!
Thx...

Thanks for the info and the welcome!

I do find the Hatch door a little weird to open. What is actually the secret? I get out the car, driver door is unlocked. I touch the handle and it does not open. I click the key and all doors unlock, and about 2 seconds I hear a click and then, touch the handle underneath and I feel it open and then lift up. Kind of weird. Sometimes it doesn't open and I am standing out the clicking my key switch. Lol...and finally it opens. And I going to fast or something. Should I unlock all doors, wait for the click and lift up?
Honda must figure the hatch is like a door. If you unlock the drivers door only it does not unlock. You have to unlock all doors to have the hatch unlock. A slight pause between pushes on the key button is necessary.

You have to look inside the manual for the auto-all-door unlock activation. That way, when your car is shut off, all the doors will be unlocked after being placed into park mode. At least that's kind of what you are describing..
You have to remember, clicking the unlock once only unlocks the drivers door. You have to click it twice, rapidly, not slow enough where the second click can be perceived to be a single click. If I'm just a little late on mine, it takes both clicks as 2 single driver's door unlocks.

Or your battery could be weakening :)
hatck big gap

is it me or do some ct owners agree with me that when you wash your ct you see too much water to wipe off in the area of the door and even with the door closed it looks like there is a big gap and may be water gets in but no it is nice and sealed. I mean doors should close nice and tight to the rest of the body but the hatch does not.
Possibly a recall defect ? but no water goes in or air it's tight.
I honesly don't know but to me it looks a bit odd?

If water is getting into the interior of your car, that's a problem.

But if the water is just getting under the lip (but not beyond the weather seal) that's perfectly fine, and really shouldn't be a point of concern.

I know what you're saying. Sometimes when I go to check on my car, I wonder is the hatch door shut all the way? Most likely it is, because if it wasn't the icon in the dash would show a door open? I have noticed that you have to wipe really well at the back door near the bumper, water tends to run down. So someone knows what you are saying. Overall my car is very tightly seal.
I truly consider the trunk/hatch release a design flaw. Never have I had a Honda that didn't have an inside and easy access way to open the hatch/trunk nor is there a dedicated button on the remote fob. Why should it be necessary to physically open the hatch? This is not a CHEAP car but Honda design engineering has let us down badly on this issue.

I can only think of rare niche circumstances where I would care about being able to open the trunk from inside the car. The only major problem is the trunk is "somehow" (we know how) always locked when you go to to open it. I followed @iggibar's suggestion, and followed the manual's instructions to set Auto Door Unlock to Ignition. The trunk doesn't bother me at all now.
