Hello everyone. I'm looking at the best option for mounting an iPhone bracket on my dash. I've done some searches of the site and didn't see anything definitive.

My preference is to not use a windshield/glass-mounted device. I usually don't have any issue with drilling a hole or two in a vehicle, but this is a line-of-side mod and I'd prefer to stay with something that either clips on one of the vents or sticks/suction cups to the surface in front of the center display. I've seen pics of GPS units and the like mounted in a way that makes sense to me, but I haven't found a vendor yet that has something that looks both sturdy and unobtrusive (if those requirements don't collide too much)

Any thoughts? Thanks in advance!

I answered my own question, for now. I went to the Apple store and bought the Kensington unit they had on the shelf. I tossed the suction cup mount after trying it three places on the interior with no success. So I used the A/C vent mount and that did the trick.

I don't particularly care for the fact that the clips prevent you from using the full area of the touch screen, but it's something I can live with for the time being.

best one made is the proclip:

a swivel holster that also runs your dock cable connects to the mount. phone charges and plays while docked. very convenient and strong while not being yet another ugly window mount. these do allow full screen access as well.

i'd caution against vent clips. the phone gets blasted with contrasting temperatures so in the winter you're taking a very hot phone outside into the cold and the opposite in summer. proclip isn't perfect in this regard, but it's better.

Thanks - This looks exactly like what I'm searching for. The odd thing is that it won't allow me to select a device holder. My primary browser is Google Chrome - and their mount search worked there. But the device holder search did not... when I switched to Safari, the device holder search worked, so there ya go.

Ordering now...

Doom - so is the one I should get - since I have Nav:

Honda Accord Crosstour 2010-2012 - ProClip Center Mount

Item No. 854152ONLY for models with integrated Navigation/Information Screen.http://www.proclipusa.com/?sectionp...lder=false&have_mount=false&p_pageid=1&dtype=

or I wanted to use the console mount: http://www.proclipusa.com/?sectionpath=383&pageid=13376&processor=content&pcategoryid=12954&categoryid=18089&year=2010&lightwindow=true&usermode=_dualselect&v_pcat=12954&v_cat=18089&year=2010&d_pcat=13420&d_cat=18312&have_holder=false&have_mount=false&p_pageid=1&dtype==

Do you think the console clip is better or should the vent one be ok?
