Hi Everyone,
Have had the CT now since Oct. Really, really liken' the car a lot so far. We have a black with black interior, nav/XM, 4wd.
Just a quick question for any of you that have driven in the snow - how does it handle. Should I look into snow tires? Just wanted to see what your veteran opinions are out there.
Interesting that I've only seen 3 CT's since we bought ours in Oct.
thanks folks!

Welcome Specs, congrats on the CT. I've driven mine in the snow without s/tires and find it quite ok.
My climate here in southern Ontario is mild with limited snow. Yours may be quite different so you must be the judge as to whether snow tires are necessary.

Hello!

As andyman97 stated, good snow tires are unbeatable.

That said, in that storm we had a short while ago, I was pleased with the way the Crosstour handled. I'm not sure what other vehicles you have experience with in regards to inclement weather, but the Crosstour does quite okay for itself.

Hi folks
Thanks for all the replys - Tomorrow we may get our first snow test. I suppose I could of waited for that but thought I'd ask for your opinions.
I have had a jeep wrangler which had 4WD, great in the snow. A volvo which was AWFUL in the snow until I put snow tires on. Then it handled as well as my jeep! Before that many 4wd's.
thanks everyone!

Winter tires vs All season tires

Numerous You Tube videos on all season tires versus winter tires demonstration. Temperature is a major factor "its the rubber that hits the road that counts". The eposode (Module 2 of 6) with the two Honda Ridgelines that have VSA and traction control is very interesting.

So far here in Indiana, the car has performed very well with the all season tires. Very stable, and confident on the ice and the snow. Like others have said I'm sure having all snow tires would only enhance the performance, but so far I have not found it necessary.
