Hi everyone!
I just picked up my Black/Black EX-L w/ Nav Crosstour yesterday.
I haven't even had a chance to take it for a real spin yet (and I'm working a 16 today)... but I'm hoping to get my Owner's Manual studying in.
While researching what I wanted for a new car I read review after review railing against the Crosstour. A pretty common theme was the lack of cargo space compared to the Toyota Venza (or similar vehicles).
The reoccurring sentiment was that the Crosstour fails because anyone would be better off just getting a Minivan or Wagon.
I just didn't see this reasoning, and after I pondered it for a while I think I figured it out.
The Crosstour is in a funny place. Honda is marketing it towards "empty-nesters" which I think is appropriate considering it's luxury like appointments.
But the styling is anything but.
The appeal of the Crosstour for me is the "Fast-back wagon" appearance. I'm in my 20's and I don't really want a wagon... and I sure as heck don't want to cruise around in a minivan.
I went from a Chevy Impala, to a Volvo S60, and now the Crosstour... I wanted more room but didn't wan't to resign myself to driving a van.
I'm lucky enough to be able to roll in a Crosstour, but I'm afraid that the majority of people that may be drawn to the concept have been priced right out of the vehicle.
Anyway, those are just my ramblings and thoughts. In any event, I'm thrilled to be member of the Crosstour family!
