Looking for Rear Bumper/Trunk Door

590 Views 19 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  Ang
I bought a 2013 recently, but it had been rear ended and it got a new rear bumper and trunk door in a different color by the previous owner, so I’m looking for a charcoal colored rear bumper and trunk door. If you have any for sale, please feel free to message me in the comments or private message me if that’s possible! Thank you!

Yeah good luck with that. I was looking and actually still am looking for a Silver rear bumper to go on my pre facelift crosstour and the leads I got on here were terrible. One had a facelift dark grey bumper, another had the same silver prefacelift as me, and the third guy tried to sell me a black front bumper. So my luck here for parts offers was not good. You're better off going to a site that deals with part outs or just look on ebay for it. If you can stomach the cost of new then you can try a parts distributor like hondapartsnow or bernardi parts but bumper and hatch is easily over 2000 plus more if you need to paint it.

That is actually great to know, thank you so much!
Might be easier to go to an auto body shop to get it repainted rather than buying a new bumper and trunk door. I understand it's probably not the best choice but it'll probably be cheaper than buying new unless you find someone to swap with.
It will most likely be easier to just have the parts repainted to match the rest of your car. Auto body shops can even blend colors to match the oxidation (NOT rust) in your car's factory paint, making the new paint almost undetectable. Chances are that, even if you do find the correct color body panel you're looking for, the paint won't match the rest of your car, again, due to oxidation.

Oxidation can be mostly corrected by a good buffing and polishing, won't be 100% but to an untrained eye it's undetectable, even to a well trained eye it'll be pretty hard to spot as long as its all factory paint.

Yea this is probably my plan now, but that’s good to know, I didn’t know about the oxidation thing, that’s pretty cool! Thank you!!

Yea I think that is my new plan once I save up the money for it. Thank you!!

YUP!!!!! Key word in what you said "mostly". My car was leased by someone else prior to me buying it, and the color difference is beyond obvious. It's easier to disguise on lighter colored cars. My car has that pewter gray/silver color, sorry, I don't know what the official name for it is. If you look closely, the front driver's door and front fender are lighter in color than the back half of the car. I have no clue how my car has a clean CARFAX report.

If yours is like mine then its Alabaster Silver. I actually just replaced my chrome door handles with body colored ones and even with 13 year old paint, the new handles blend right in.

Your paint name is Polished Metal Metallic, if you look on your door sticker with the tire pressures and stuff, you should see a paint code for NH737M

What is anyone going to do with it, people put their plate on Instagram all the time.

Mine is visibly different on the rear bumper. My Carfax is clean, but my trunk lid has a bigger panel gap on the right vs the left, the top of the rear glass has a warp in it? And a small crack in the bumper. So I don't know what the minor rear damage was or how it caused all these weird things.

Yeah, and this exact picture is on here like 3 times.
Yea I think my bumper and trunk is your front and the rest of mine is the back of yours, haha!! They are nice cars, but it sucks they aren’t in circulation anymore parts wise.
Parts are still produced for these cars by Honda.

There is a lot that criminals can do with it. I kept them behind bars for 25 years, sometimes they tell you the tricks of their trade, but if it doesn't bother you.........

I know what criminals can do, I can't think of anything they can do with it because it's a photo online not like they have your plate on their car.
