Hey guys I just installed a svcm in my 2010 v6 crosstour with 230,000. I read the fix to cylinder #3 backfiring might be to deactivate eco- so bought svcm. As soon as it was installed my engine light came on. Gave me a code PO118 - engine coolant temperature circuit high voltage. Is that just not get info to computer ???

The SVCM uses a resistor in the coolant water sensor to trick your computer to stay out of ECO mode. Normally the new SVCM will come with various resistors depending on the climate you are in. Check with the manufacturer of the SVCM and they can guide you.
