I noticed the other night something that will surely bother me for the life of this car.

There is no consistency with the back-lighting in the cabin of the car.

The dash has a great, deep blue color.

The door/window controls are a lighter shade of blue, which I wouldn't have a problem with except...

The steering wheel / cruise control buttons are a light orange...

And the center stack is a pale green.

I feel as if all these controls had been the same color (I would pick the pale blue from the door to accent the deep blue of the dash), the interior would feel much more "thought out."

Now it just seems too mix-and-matched for my taste.

The back lighting on the center stack and my switches in my car are white. And the steering wheel controls are a pale green. I will go down and take a pic right now and post...

Hrmmm...

I just tried to take pictures but my camera isn't reproducing the colors correctly.

I don't think I'm going crazy, but as far as I can tell, the window, steering wheel and center stack back-lighting are 3 distinctly different colors.

Even the VSC switch looks green compared to the Blue Window switches...

I don't think I'm seeing things.

Maybe I need to get my eyes checked.

I'll definitely try again... the first time I attempted it, my camera didn't reproduce the colors accurately (a result of the low light / exposure compensation).

I'm actually surprised that the colors would be different just because of the Nav... but veasnalong makes it sound like I'm not actually crazy.

I have the navi. My colors are white on the stack and the door, albeit the white is soft and my 11 year old says whitish gray, (window/doorlock tabs).

With us bring male we see in 16 colors, she of course sees in 256. (Is taupe really a color, and what the hell is it?)

LoL I agree AD, why does the word taupe even exist? Do your steering wheel buttons light up green or orange?

I'm telling you guys... it's all different in my car. I keep staring at the buttons to make sure it's not my eyes deceiving me... they are definitely different colors.

The window controls I call a very pale blue. They closely match the color of the LCD on the Odometer and climate controls.

The center stack clearly has a green hue to it, which is very evident when compared to the climate display.

The steering wheel controls are absolutely of a orange hue.

I'm going to go back out to my car right now and try to get decent pictures....

Okay, I just took some pictures... I feel like the low light causes some loss in color representation, but you tell me what you think.

Here are the window controls, I made sure the incorporate the Traction Control button as well because I feel that it shows the difference in back lighting color.

Next to the center stack. I incorporated the LCD read-out... from sitting in the car, it looks to me like the center buttons are the same color as the Traction Control Button, and the window buttons are more along the line of the LCD screen. (This picture really doesn't do the color difference justice.)

Lastly, and I may have to eat some crow here, are the steering wheel controls. (I've incorporated the gauges to give something to compare it to.) Now, I've sworn these look orange to me in the car, but after looking at these pictures on my computer, they do look green.

I must confess, I am Red/Green color blind, which I often forget about it because it's so subtle, but it could be causing some trouble for me here... but in the very least, even if it is in fact green... this color still seems different than any of the other buttons.

So does everyone else really think that all these colors are the same?

Yea man your colors match my car exactly. Your center stack looks awesome by the way. The steering wheel is definitely a different hue than the other buttons. The VSA is white as well.

Your colors match mine also ..... let's go to the man cave for a few beers and sort this out. Let's say the colors are all distinctly taupe or lemon chiffon, or herty - gerty blue. We only see in 16 colors, and about 4 colors after 3 or more beers. So, the above colors don't really exist so taupe it is. Meeting adjourned.
