Looks like it. They are in the same. I like the Crosstour much better anyways. I have seen the Toyota around and it is kinda ugly. No VTEC either!

My initial thoughts of this car was, WTF... ewwww... but now, it's growing on me.

It's hard to get a feel for the actual size of the car. Thing is that an exterior design that works at one size (eg 4-door compact) doesn't usually scale up well to another size.

Agreed... but the Lexus SUV made from the Camry platform is nice.

I generally am ok with smaller cars reaching bigger platforms... sometimes, it helps them to tweak the smaller car too imo

What inspired Honda?

I think the Mazda 4WD vehicle was the target. The rear of the Mazda is a lot higher which I have always thought made it ugly. One of our daughters has that Mazda and she really enjoys driving in on snowy or ice slick roads. The Crosstour has the same 4WD drive as the Honda CRV and our neighbor that bought a used 2005 CRV for his High School Senior says it is far superior than his 4WD truck when it comes to driving in the snow. His family thoroughly enjoys the 4WD. So we are looking forward to our first snow experience. Especially for my wife since she is terrified to drive on snowy or slick roads. A month ago she got our Accord 180 cross ways our driveway backing out of our garage. That was when I decided she needed 4WD or AWD. We went shopping last week for a new
2010 CRV, but when my wife saw the 4WD Crosstour then she was thrilled. And it is a lot easier for me (76 yr. old) to get out of compared to our 2006 Accord.

I prefer to think of the CT as an Accord that has spent alot of time at the gym - or on steroids!!

I think the lines more closely ressemble an accord coupe, just bulked up. It also seems to be VERY close to the design of the BMW GT

I think the grille looks way better on the CT since it's widened out.

To my taste, The CT looks much nicer (loved my '06) than the Accord now.
At one time the Accord looked better but now I don't like the looks as much.
The CT is a refreshing change to the mundane looks of the plain Accord.

I realized that I made the right choice in trading in my 08 accord sedan for the Crosstour when I parked behind an 8th gen sedan and saw how much more aggressive and interesting my CT looked lol

I agree, I think the wider CT grille looks much better than the Accord grille.
