I have a lowly Samsung SGH-A737.

One thing I did find is that it only imports phone numbers that are saved to the phone so I had to copy the numbers to the phone from the SIM so they could be imported.

I'd like to figure out how to delete a number though that got saved to the Hands Free and I can't seem to find that.

Did you figure it out yet? I am wondering as well.

I think I need to delete the phone book and reimport - haven't had time to try.

Of course that means that would delete the entries I set with the voice recognition. So hoping someone has some ideas.

I'm so lost.. what does HFL have to do with our beloved CT?
Bluetooth Hands Free Link. 13 pages in your OM can give you a better definition than I. It does work great in particular if you have a Compatible phone that makes the set up a easy task. Look in the phones specifictions for OBEX which means it supports cell phone import of you phone book. Hope this helps.

I've got Navi, so I'm not sure if it works the same as yours, but if you call up "Phone Book", I think "Sweet Thing - aka "The Voice", offers an "Edit" option. Seems like that'd be the place to go,

Doesn't work like that without Nav, though. There is a Bluetooth protocol called OBEX (object exchange) for file sharing wirelessly. Apple is protective of their iTunes-purchased files, though, so they don't support OBEX.
(if you have jailbroken your iPhone, though, you can find an app from iBluetooth that will do this)

I have the Iphone 4 and it's compatible. The only thing is if one of your contacts change their number, and you change it in your phone. You have to import the numbers all over again just to get that one person number in the system?? Or is there a easier way to do that?
