hello everyone....well to be honest 24 hrs ago we had no intention of buying a CT...but theres a 2012 EX L with 80kms on my drive this morning. anyway, a few questions, timing belt has only 80kms or 50,000 miles...but because of age should I be concerned....always enjoyed the honda product, hope the CT keeps that enjoyment going.

Rubber deteriorates from wear or just old age. I would recommend that you consider having it done in the next 20,000 KM or 10,000 miles. According to the owners manual on page 343, it states: "Replace the timing belt every 60,000 miles (100,000 KM) if you regularly drive your vehicle in any of the following conditions: Very high temperatures, very low temperatures or frequently tow a trailer. Being that you likely don't know how the previous owner drove the car, best to go with those numbers.
