I found a great way to fill the holes drilled into the front bumper by the jack wagons at the dealership for the license plate holder. Don't buy those expensive, pre-painted ones from that Porsche-linked outfit. They require you to drill out the holes in order to fit their plastic insert. You'll NEVER get your plate holder back on if you decide to quit flaunting the law in your area ....

Go to a hardware store and head for the fasteners section. I tried Lowe's and Home Crappo without success. The small OSH down the street had what looked like a good fit.

Servalite Nylon Hole Plug 3/16" Black - Bar Code 39008 70223

I used a single edge razor to clean up the holes, touched up what was needed with factory Honda paint pen/brush, and applied three coats to the inserts. Let them dry, inserted in holes, EXCELLENT RESULTS!!

Cost: About $2.40 for the inserts (I botched one of the first two and decided to buy the last two OSH had,) plus about $7.00 for the paint. Less than 10 bucks OTD and it's a custom-looking job.

I'll post a pic when I figure out how to do that on this forum.

That's exactly what I did, except I did not paint anything - because it's plastic anyway. Even on my White Diamond Pearl, the black plugs look good - like they were meant to be there.

front bumper holes

I simply told the dealer that if there were holes in my bumper when I came to pick it up the deal was off. Guess what, no holes. The bracket still attaches to two holes under the bumper. but we don't need plates in PA.

I bought my car in Illinois (2 plate state), but I live in Indiana (1 plate state), and the front bracket was on the car when I saw it on the lot.

I like your idea of the ultimatum, though.

They must have installed your front license plate upside down. The top of my license plate bracket screws into the the factory screws on the lower bumper grille. As you tighten the screws the lower section of my license plate bracket tightens against the bumper, making it nice and snug, requiring only two mount screws.

Maybe this site needs to enter the 21st century, and program it to accept pics drectly from our computer without the nonsense of our signing up with another hosting site.
What? It's not 1996 anymore? ;)

I'm running Windows 7. I simply asked it to download. It downloaded a pic that has resolution to be a 11 X 14 photo. The thumbnail popped right up. See my picture in the picture section.

Is Windows 7 smarter or is the method being offered not needed anymore?

I don't know, I'm still in 1996 with Fred. Look, a squirrel!

Most aren't satisfied with thumbnails, AD.....so to skirt that, one must upload to a host and transfer that link for a full sized pic.
As far as I know we've always had the ability to post thumbnails from our pc's but full sized is more popular.....:)
