Engine Sound

Hi Folks,
Just passed the 1.5K mark and notice the engine sounds much louder. Added a bit of oil, came in at the L end. The additional oil helped a bit, but I can't stop wondering why it's still loud. Sounds like really loud valves. I'm not sure if it was as loud when we first got it.

I have a is350 and that car sounds like a diesel with the DI engine. But, the CT is much louder....

Wondering if the rest of the CT group thinks their engines are loud. (during idle and outside). On the inside it's quiet as a mouse! :)

Cheers,

No excessive noises underhood here.......

Have the tech at the dealer listen. He'll know if it's out of the ordinary.

I agree, I would take it in and have it checked out too
engine noise

i dont have the noise in my CT-- but had the engine noise you describe on my previous v-tec engine in the 2008-- it turned out a retaining nut was not properly tourqued down on the valve train-- honda even ha dsent out an advisory to their dealers-- suggest you have dealer look at it and mention a needed valve train adjustment

good luck

Cheers,
Ours has no excessive noise and sounds like the new car that it is. Really like the new ASC system. We recently turned 2000 miles (3,218 km) Richard
