I got this error the other day.

Turning the vehicle on and off didn't resolve the problem.

I went into the vehicle diagnostics screen and took screen caps of all the results.

Finally I ejected the navigation DVD and reinserted it, and the problem has not returned.

This all happened after my car had been sitting while I was at work.

This was last week and hasn't reappeared, but I thought I would share for the purpose of building up the forum.

Can you give us some more info on this?
Were you trying to update your NAV package?
Did it update?
Was it a factory OEM update disk?

Nope. No update.

Just turned my car on and I got the error message.

Hasn't happened since.

I don't think there is a DVD to eject in the 2013 CT.

Hi, thanks for the reply. That would explain it.

Is the software then embedded in the device...? Wonder how it would be updated...?

Thanks,
Mark

Probably via the USB input in the elbow box. In older models the DVD was in the hatch under the right lift off panel on the floor. Nothing there in mine!
I assume the software resides on the hard drive.

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking the same thing.

What is the DVD player for then...? I thought it was solely to operate the Nav system...?

Thanks,
Mark

There's a DVD player?

My aunt reports the DVD player is in the dash...of her 2013? She pushed the eject button to remove the disc, but no dice. Dealer friend thinks there maybe a button integrated into the screen that may eject the disc, Aunt reports no such button...?

I would have pointed her straight to her owner's manual.

But here is my speculation:

If it's anything like the 1st generation, there is the Nav DVD player in the rear cargo area under the passenger side cargo compartment lid. You flip down the lid, then you push the eject button, then the disc pops out.

The disc slot on her dash is most likely for the radio/CD player.

But of course, I would have pointed her straight to her owner's manual.

I'm willing to bet my reputation on it being in there. (There may be a separate manual just for the radio/nav system, but it would still explain the process)

Or....

As previously suspected, the 2013 doesn't have a navigation DVD (instead relying on a USB stick for upgrade).

The "DVD player in the dash" your aunt reports is actually just the audio CD player.

And the 2013 owner's manual specifically states that it will not play DVDs.

The reason why nothing comes out when she pushes the "eject" button is because there was nothing inserted originally.

OK, I bit the bullet for this forum. Three phone calls, the navi updater, my dealer and finally American Honda. Asking the question, how to update the Navi maps. About an hour in total for the three calls and hold times.
The navi updater company didn't know after checking with her supervisors. My dealer's service dept. didn't know but thought it came down via the satellite link. American Honda, didn't know at first but knew someone there must know. So long hold and then ... It's a USB stick upgrade. Whether they mail a stick or I can download and load my stick I didn't go into as at this point we have an answer.

That is why the manual has no reference in the index for DVD and page 133 in the Navi book refers to a "Data" upgrade, not a DVD upgrade. For the 2013 as of now there isn't an upgrade available. If Honda issues a firmware upgrade that will come from the dealer or the website.

:D
