Dogs and leather seats.........

I have to admit that my Weimaraner had complete access in my wife's CR-V with cloth seats. Levi doesn't mind the back seat when we were both in the car but would rather ride shotgun whenever possible.

I had a Solvit Dog cover in the rear of my RidgeLine and it worked very well with all the different tie down areas both the Solvit and the RL had but there are no such tie down areas in the CT and it has caused a near accident due to Levi slipping and sliding around.

I had a pair of Sheepskin Seat Covers in the front seats of the RL to allow Levi access to the shotgun seat and those now have a new home in the CT. After the near accident of Levi almost being injured I contacted ShearComfort and ordered custom rear Sheepskin Covers for the CT that will allow either the 60 or the 40 seat to be laid flat should the need arise and being form fitted for the CT no slipping, sliding or accidents just a happy CT owner and his dog.

Would the Honda Accessories seat covers not been sufficient? Just curious

While I have not been able to hunt him the past 2 years due to having non-Hodgkin Lymphoma we still get him out for daily runs in the woods, on the beach and places where he gets, wet, muddy etc. Sheepskin dries easily and can be brushed out and stains are cleaned easily enough, I had one that lasted through 3 vehicles from 1986-2006 so they are worth the investment. Also it's heartening to see the leather look near new when the seat covers are removed as well.
