My CT w/ 3000 miles has the tan leather interior. I am very fussy about keeping the interior clean right now even though, because of the bad weather here in the midwest, the exterior is filthy! My problem - the center armrest is getting dirty and it won't clean with anything. It might even be that the color is wearing off the surface, but I'm not sure. The leather surface looks a little grey and no leather cleaner or household product(like 409, Awesome, etc.) will clean it. Anyone else experiencing this? I may take it to the dealer when we get to Florida next week and ask for the armrest cover to be replaced. This is crazy. The color should never wear off that quickly!

Do you treat the leather, or just ignore it and hope for the best? Light colored leather will actually pick up stains very easily, and can even pick up dyes from clothing. Leather can be cleaned, but certain products shouldn't be used. I would imagine that 409 is not a good idea for leather.

Six-year-old girls are also good for stains. Good at putting them in not taking them out....

Magic erasers have worked well for me. Those things can remove anything.
I have the ivory interior, does the magic erasers also remove scuff marks left by shoes. I tend to get scuff marks on the passenger's kick panels and doors.

Magic Erasers are great, but remember they are abrasive so be gentle on soft surfaces. This is from the "how it works" web site:
"when melamine resin cures into foam, its microstructure becomes very hard -- almost as hard as glass -- causing it to perform on stains a lot like super-fine sandpaper"
I seem use one on the boat frequently, but always follow up with a coat of wax or vinyl protector.
