I took the fat v6 girl for a spin, just to test her abilities, it was massive fun and did decent times (beating mustangs) , understeers too much, automatic transmission could be better (stay in first dammit!), and it's a heavy ***** but had a great time. The v6 power helped a lot.

Pump the tires up? yeah i forgot to do this, would have helped in the corners, I'm new to autocross. Other than that, taction control off, launch in sport mode while holding the handbrake and accelerating until possible at the same time, then release handbrake to launch it (of all the methods this was the only one where I could get it to launch the hardest, excluding neutral drops because that will just mess up your transmission so don't do that). Then switch to manual shifting when exiting the hairpin curves..

Nice!!!! I love that you caught some air on the return trip. Loved hearing the V-6 growl as you accelerated! Makes me want to try it with mine LOL :D
And of course, best part that you beat some mustangs! HA :D

Beating ponycars

This reminds me, a little bit, of Bob Tullius campaigning a '64 Pontiac Tempest in the 1971 Trans-Am series and having a number of top five finishes against the much smaller Mustangs, Camaros, and Javelins. "Gray Ghost" was painted a dull, utilitarian silver and before it became a racer it was a housewife's family car with 80,000 miles on it! There are some amazing pictures out there of it hounding Mustangs in the rain...

And my '15 EX-L is silver...huh.

I think many overlook the Crosstour as a performance car. Even with my 2014 EX-L being a 4 banger I have driven a couple of the most challenging roads in America and was amazed at what the 2.4 Liter can do. The Cherohala Skyway and Tail of the Dragon in East Tennessee and Western North Carolina are awesome roadways. I only had to pull over for the sport bikes. The direct injection Honda 2.4 is awesome compared to the other Honda 4 bangers of the past.

I just got back from staying at the Tapoco Lodge and driving the Cherohala (lunch at the Tellico Grains Bakery) and the Tail of the Dragon for three days in my Honda S2000. Outrageous. We had 65 cars this year and only lost one.

You are right about the K24 motor. If you talk to any Honda engineer they are likely to tell you that it's the best motor that Honda have ever made and a lot of folks will tell you that it's the best production motor that anyone has ever made. People are boosting it with aftermarket ECU tuning and reliably getting 500 hp to the wheel on stock internals. It is a beast of a 4 cylinder motor.
