First time poster (picking up my CT tomorrow) - Does anyone know of any tips or tricks not commonly known about the CT? Unfortunately I don't have mine yet so I don't have much to add.

I do know the floor panels in the back are reversible in case you are carrying around something dirty and don't want to get the trunk dirty....Anything else you all can think of?

Here are some things that people aren't always aware of (in my experience), even though they are in the manual:

  • The keyless remotes are labelled "1" and "2" and correspond to the seat memory positions. Using remote "1" to unlock the doors will also set the seat and mirrors to memory position "1" for example.
  • Holding down unlock on the remote will, after a brief pause, roll down the windows and open the sunroof.
  • If you have the front windshield wipers on and put the car in reverse, the rear wiper will clear the rear window even if the rear wiper is set to off.
  • If you leave the side mirror adjustment switch set to either left or right (versus leaving the switch in the middle position), the corresponding side mirror will tilt down when the car is put in reverse.

Make sure that your heated seats work, if you have them.

Make sure that your sun visors do not fall out of your roof if you swing them down and/or to the side.

Make sure that your rear hatch is on straight and that all of your gaps between the hatch and the body are even on both sides. Same with the doors and other body panels.

I am not kidding. These are all problems that we have had with our new Crosstour within the first 500 miles.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the new purchase.

Good advice above, read, ask questions, learn, and most of all enjoy. Come back with your first thoughts after you get some stick time on the CT. Plenty of real good and knowledgeable folks here, visit often.

Nav system DEBUG Menu:

Hold down the "Cancel" "Map/Guide" and "Menu" buttons at the same time.

This will bring you into the debug menu.

If you go to the GPS sub menu, holding down "Menu" again will bring up an additional GPS info screen.
