Are you looking for something like the honda cargo organizer?

Or perhaps the honda cargo net?

I think the honda cargo net actually takes some installation. They have to anchor the top hooks, since one is not preinstalled.

I don't know about the cargo organizer. It sounds like it's just a box that folds when not in use. I think it's 30 wide by 13 tall by 11 high.

I'm thinking about getting the compact utility bednet. It will keep things secure, and still can be attached to the hooks already installed in the floor of the crosstour. I think the size is appropriate too, but I'll find out for sure when I get it. its 30x24.

*edit*

Ooops, I just noticed you were talking about 18 cubic feet. None of these options would fit that category. Sorry.

It's the thule Atlantis 1600, I got it at EMS. It opens from both the left and right side, theres a small amount of wind noise at 80, but worth it. The hatxh opens with no 0problem, I have mine pushed as far back as it will go, my antene is bent, but so what. It was 20% off plus 10% because it was dusty; $400. Hence the rabbi!

Rabbi is a long story; those are the factory crossbars, I'm not a big fan as I would like something with a lower profile. The thule and yakima mounts are plain ugly. They don't mount flush to the roof, rather into the door jam. There is some cutting required to install the factory rack. The plastic roof trim needs to have 3 inches removed for the rack to bolt to the mounts. There are clean caps that conceal the mod when the rack is not in use. If something comes out that has a clean mount to the factory roof bolts with a low profile, these are for sale.

Do you have a closer pic of the whole set up? Like from the side?

Now that its clean I'll be more than happy to show some pics. I like it, it will fit my skis, boots, gear, emergency stuff if I get stranded up north. Heck if need be I can sleep in it... The box is pushed back as far as possible and the hatch has plenty of clearence.

I've been playing with the idea more and more recently with getting the Honda OEM roof rack...

Can you comment on the wind noise that it generates (just the cross bars - no box)?

Is it something that can be tolerated being left on?

Thanks!
