Been searching the net for a couple of weeks for an aftermarket exhaust set up for our CT's but no luck thus far. This makes me wonder.. How similar are our exhaust set ups compared to the Accord Sedan/Coupe V6 exhausts? Are they the same? slight differences?

If they are at least close enough, I can make the modifications to make it fit.

Lol the only difference I could see between the 3 cars is length of the tubes. Companies only make kits for coupe but many people have been able to modify them for the sedan. Here are some pics I found of my brothers coupe and the best pic I could find of my CT with pipes exposed.

Pedro, is the Coupe kit a typical hi flow 'cat-back' system with single pipe feeding twin exits, or a true dual?
I've read that a performance '2 into 1 into 2' is very good these days and just as efficient as a true dual -- but I like the sound of a true dual with X-pipe much more.
I have that on my Lexus and love it. Had it on several recent V6's and V8's.

Low end torque would probably suffer slightly in favour of high end h/p with any exhaust mod so that's a downside.
Not enough that you'd feel it in the SOTP tho.

Lol haven't seen any for the sedan except for one by Mugen Racing and the only way you can get it is through them and the shipping from Japan isn't cheap lol. I haven't seen any true dual exhausts on Accords only cat-back but like you said they're really good. Companies like GReddy, Megan Racing, Magnaflow, even Flowmaster make kits for the Accord coupe which can be modified. The one that would need the least modifying is the one for the Mugen Inspire (US Accord V6) cause our CTs share the same platform. They also sell performance brakes just click on the link below and look around. The sites in Japanese so all I do is look at the pics and use google to convert yen into dollars lol.

the exhaust one the CT is completely different from the 2DR and 4DR accords. the 4WD CT's have a split exhaust to allow room for the propeller shaft down the middle of the car. What i have discovered is the 2009 TL SH AWD uses the same midpipe as the CT but bigger diameter piping.

Looks nice! Not sure about enlarging the pics, but a higher resolution camera should make them bigger...not sure what you used. Do you know why the right side exhaust doesn't have an attachment point that bolts on to the rest of the exhaust's pipe, like the left side? I was wondering about getting an exhaust end, and having my dad make his own attachment, but then realized there wasn't one on the right side. Welding an attachment plate would be real nice imo!

They have been doing it like that for years for some reason the 99 accord cpe v6 came like that too! You had to buy the whole centerpipe to get the one muffler, just have a muffler shop weld one on.

Hey stranger.....:) -- just upload to a host site (I use Photobucket) and post their links here for full sized pics.

Bet the duals and magnaflows sound good.

Rusty-

I did the same with my TL and loved the sound. Can you tell me which Magnaflows you went with? Part #? Thanks.

It seems Magnaflow is more popular than Flowmaster for the Accord Crowd?

Being that they're pretty much all universal fitments (as long as diameter is right) there shouldn't be any problems right?

But yeah, I'm curious as I used to be a sound engineer and love a good sound :)
