I just picked up a 2010 Crosstour EX-L Nav (Polished Metal Metallic) the first week of March.
We went to look at the Toyota Rav 4 because of the 0% financing. Loaded they were about $32,000 MSRP. We had looked at the Venza since the NY Auto Show last April ($39,000 MSRP). There were a few things about the Venza we didn't like (still a good car).
A Honda dealer in Newton, NJ told us about the Crosstour that was coming out in November, 2009. I didn't like the pictures I was seeing in the Auto Magazines (Car & Driver / Road & Track / Motor Trend). But we said we would wait the 2 weeks till it comes out before we get a new car.
A Honda dealer in Pompton Plains, NJ said they had just gotten a few in in late November, 2009. One was a EX-L Nav, that's the one for us to road test. I went for the test drive thinking I'm really not going to like this car and will get a Rav-4 or Venza.
OMG! What a difference between the Crosstour & Venza. We loved everything about the car. This is way...way better than the Venza.
Because the car was new all the local dealers wanted close to MSRP. So we waited till the first week of March, 2010. We were looking at Rav-4's because of 0% financing. Alicia said lets go look at the Crosstour again at Joyce Honda in NJ. We decided to get a new Crosstour this weekend.
We went to Route 23 Honda in Pompton Plains, NJ on Saturday morning. The same place Alicia got her new Honda 2006 S2000. Our salesman Dino had a Polished Metal Metallic 2010 Crosstour ready for us when we arrived. He tossed us the keys and said take it out for as long as you like. We gave it quite a test drive.
Alicia said this was the Crosstour she wanted. So with a little back and forth we got the Crosstour for $33,000 ($36,930 MSRP / about $400 over dealer cost).
It has been 1 month and we love everything about the Crosstour. Everyone who sees it wants to know what it is. Everyone who rides in it loves the car.
