The latest battery on my 2010 EXL lasted six years but finally died. I went to Autozone for a replacement and had them install a Duralast Gold 24F. The person installing the battery said the black plastic heat shield that goes around the battery would not fit the new battery and so installed the battery without it. I am tempted to take out the battery to see if I can install the heat shield with the new battery. Is the heat shield important enough that this would be worth the effort?
