Just purchased new CT EX-L AWD for my wife after being away from Hondas for far too long. Had several early Hondas and Acuras and always had fabulous experiences with them. Got into BMWs in the mid 80s and have run out of patience with them. Most recently had way too many major issues with the X5 4.4. Transfer case and driveshaft ($4.5K) followed shortly by VANOS failure (cam timing system - $5K) followed immediately by failed transmission ($8K - still not sure it was a failure, seemed to me like control valve issues, but the stealer and indy both would not replace - only new trans). Numerous issues with several 3 series also. Seems BMWs are really good until 100K, then look out!
But this is not about Bimmers, I really look forward to a long relationship with the new CT. Seems like it was just the vehicle we wanted. Not an SUV, but with the features that we wanted in an SUV. AWD, hatchback, luxury ammenities, quiet ride.
And in my wife's most important feature - it's the right color scheme. Opal metallic/ivory (tan?) interior.
Looking forward to gaining valuable information from all of you out there. These types of forums have been quite a resource for me with my BMW motorcycles and cars. I expect the same here.

So I'm done
