Howdy all.

I just bought a new CT EX-L with the navi and am trying to stream Pandora through my LG Ally phone via the AUX port but I get no sound. I took the USB drive our of the second aux port first. Any thoughts?

Not sure what you mean by the last sentence.

Try testing the jack on your phone with headphones/speakers. Make sure it's not muted. Test the cable you're using as well.

Press Aux button on your dash a couple of times. It cycles through your Aux and USB inputs if you have them both plugged.

Ok, let me clarify. I have the phone plugged into the aux port with the aux cable (not USB). So there is nothing plugged into the USB. I verified the cable and phone are both working fine, but I still don't get any sound whether playing an mp3 or streaming. Any ideas?

Hm... and you have verified that there is sound coming out of the headphone port on the phone? Do you get sound via FM, AM, XM, etc.?

Get another device that has a headphone port and plug that in to the car. Make sure that there isn't something wrong with the aux port (or worse) in the car.

As I stated before, I verified the phone is working fine. I do not have a secondary device to test the port but I will see what I can come up with. Other than this, this stereo in the car works fine.

Very odd. Track down another device to plug into the AUX in (audio port) to make sure that the AUX port is working in the car. It seems to me that is the only thing left that could be the issue.

Does your phone have a seprate "media" sound function? My Samsung Captivate has 4 diferent volume functions, ring, voice, speaker phone, and media.

Snag a cheap set of ear buds and plug em in to make sure you're getting full volume, also make sure that the media player volume is all the way up.

Check the volume?

Sorry if this is too obvious, but try jacking up the volume a) in the car stereo and b) on the LG.
I tried my AUX port for the first time tonight and I didn't hear a thing. I was worried for a moment that there was something wrong. I turned my volume up from 7 to 15 before I heard anything! Then I brought my volume back down to 7 and jacked up the headset volume on my iPhone so that the volume level matched other audio sources in the car. (So I won't deafen myself by switching back with the volume cranked up!)

Typically it's more of a phone issue, it's most likely a setting that needs adjustment. I have the Samsung Captivate and it works without issue, but I have to turn up the media volume on the phone first to hear it in the car at normal volume.
