My wife and I have owned -- and loved -- our Crosstour since October.

We keep the car in our driveway. A few times I've gone to the car in the morning and was horrified to see that a window or the sunroof was open. It's possible that I left a window open part way (where our dog sits), but I know that neither my wife nor I had the sunroof open.

Is it possible that pressing the remote lock in some strange sequence could have opened the sunroof?

Refer to page 108 of your owner’s manual. Basically you CAN open all the windows and moonroof from the outside with the remote transmitter.

If you press the UNLOCK button twice and hold the unlock button down, all four windows and the moonroof will start to open. You CANNOT close the windows or the moonroof with the remote.

You can open and close all the windows and moonroof by using the key in the door lock. See page 109 of the owner’s manual for specific instructions.

My wife does it sometimes as well, I'll get in the car and the sunroof will be part open. It's always fun to find when the car is NOT in the garage.
