Yes I know what the owner's manual says, but really is that what you used?

I can't remember what the 06 Accord used - it's the same engine right?

The Dealer uses Mobil 1. Mobil makes Honda branded oil.
None the less, I am VERY surprised that the dealer used anything other than Honda brand. Seems unusual to me.....was the Mobil1 cheaper?
I can't even find 0-W20 oil here in Manitoba, Canada, except at the Toyota dealer, and I am not about to put that in my CT...it would probably make the gas pedal stick and screw up the brakes!!!!
I guess I could buy oil from the Honda dealer, but I might as well have them change the oil for the extra 3 bucks it would cost me.

Anyone tried changing their own oil yet?

Oil and Filter

After reading many websites and looking at cut-aways on oil filters, I have decided Mobile Extended Performance M1-110 will be the oil filter for my CT. I bought two online for $23.98 at Amaz.. and consider the cost ok due to longer oil changes (will stick with manual specs for my warranty) using synthetic Mobile 1 0W-20. Where I live that’s all I can find in oil is the Mobile 1 anyway. I use Castrol in my other 3 vehicles but Honda told me they use Mobile oil under Honda branding. WIX filters were a close 2nd on my online research, and yes I stayed away from "promotional or biased" sites. Probably doesn’t matter but I chose Mobile 1 filter to correspond with oil. Figured apples and apples.
