Just got a notice in today's mail that my CT is being recalled due to a "possible" failure of the passenger airbag going off when someone who would normally be underweight in the passenger side not tripping the safety switch....
guess I'll take it in and have it checked when I go for my first oil change which should be due in the next month or two....
(in Canada BTW)

Had the CT in today for the recall, and they actually had to replace my passenger airbag....The tech said it would cost around $900 for the job if it hadn't been on warranty/recalled...

I've not had time to look into it yet tho I must soon.
Thank God for warranties then, since it's so expensive; but I guess that's factored into their pricing.....:)

Thanks for the update, and the reminder that I need to make a call.

Colin

EDIT: I've just gotten off the phone with my tech at the Honda dealer and apparantly my CT isn't involved with this recall. I also asked if any others in this area were involved and they said not that they knew of.
FWIW.

I knew there was a recall for this airbag but when I bought my CT in September I mentioned that to my vendor and during preparation they made the check and everything was ok for my CT.

3 days to fix the recall ???

My wife just dropped our CT off today to fix the airbag recall and they gave her a rental and said it could take up to 3 days to order the part and fix. Does this sound funny to y'all ?

Air Bag recall

No doesn't sound funny. On the recall not all the vehicles on the list require a new airbag. I phoned my Honda dealer service dept to find out what was involed in the recall and was told that they inspect it and if it's only the clips then a new bag is not required. Quess I got lucky mine was out there in no time flat. Just my O2 don't think they want to stock a large $$$ item such as a airbag.

I'd be quite happy with a Hyundai....My last two vehicles were Hyundais and I would have bought another but they didn't have one in the Crosstour-type of vehicle....I wanted 4wd and a nice car....couldn't decide between the new Sonata and a Tucson, so bought the CT since it has some of the same lines as the new sonata, along with the 4WD...
