Not sure if anyone else saw the January 2012 issue of Car and Driver, but it lists the 10 best cars for 2012 under $80,000. Their criteria was a vehicle while satisfying must meet their every want. (I almost feel embarrassed that I admit to reading this rag). But anyway, Honda has two of their vehicles listed in the top ten. Actually Ford did too. But here is their Top 10. (Alphabetical Order)
Audi A6 / A7 3.0T Quattro
BMW 3-Series / M3
Cadillac CTS-V
Ford Focus
Ford Mustang GT/Boss 302
Honda Accord
Honda Fit
Mazda MX-5 Miata
Porsche Boxster/Cayman
Volkswagen Golf/GTI
Now granted our Crosstour did not make the list, but our sister car the Accord did. It should be noted that the Honda Accord with the 4 cylinder engine is the vehicle they are talking about, NOT the 3.5 liter V6. Car and Driver listed the specifications of the Accord as:
Base Price = $18,765 to $25,465
EPA / City / Hwy = 21-30 / 31-42
Much different cost and fuel economy then our CT. I wasn’t really expecting to see our CT in Car and Driver, why would they? For the 15 or so people?
